Does Amazon work with Apple Home?

Partly — and the distinction matters before you spend anything. The four Amazon televisions and streamers listed here are AirPlay 2 products: an iPhone, iPad or Mac sends pictures and sound to them. None of them is classified here as an Apple Home accessory.

That is the line worth understanding, because “works with Apple” gets used for both. AirPlay 2 is a way of sending sound to something. An Apple Home accessory is something the Home app holds a control for — a plug you switch, a sensor you read, a device you act on inside an automation. For watching and listening, Amazon qualifies. For automation, check the individual product pages rather than assuming the badge covers it.
