Bluesound

Bluesound is the multiroom brand of Canada’s Lenbrook Group, sharing engineering with NAD. Its Node streamers and Powernode amplifiers support AirPlay 2.

Does Bluesound work with Apple Home?

Partly — and the distinction matters before you spend anything. The nine Bluesound devices listed here are AirPlay 2 products: an iPhone, iPad or Mac sends audio to them and they can join a multi-room group with other AirPlay 2 speakers. None of them is classified here as an Apple Home accessory.

That is the line worth understanding, because “works with Apple” gets used for both. AirPlay 2 is a way of sending sound to something. An Apple Home accessory is something the Home app holds a control for — a plug you switch, a sensor you read, a device you act on inside an automation. For listening, Bluesound qualifies. For automation, check the individual product pages rather than assuming the badge covers it.

How they connect: Wi-Fi.

UK availability is uneven: seven of the nine have a current Amazon UK listing we could verify. The others are catalogued for reference — discontinued, or dealer-only.
