Marshall

Marshall’s home speakers, built under licence by Sweden’s Zound Industries, borrow the look of the guitar amplifiers. The Uxbridge supports AirPlay 2.

Does Marshall work with Apple Home?

Partly — and the distinction matters before you spend anything. The one Marshall speaker listed here is an AirPlay 2 product: an iPhone, iPad or Mac sends audio to it and it can join a multi-room group with other AirPlay 2 speakers. It is not classified here as an Apple Home accessory.

That is the line worth understanding, because “works with Apple” gets used for both. AirPlay 2 is a way of sending sound to something. An Apple Home accessory is something the Home app holds a control for — a plug you switch, a sensor you read, a device you act on inside an automation. For listening, Marshall qualifies. For automation, check the individual product pages rather than assuming the badge covers it.

How it connects: Wi-Fi.

Buying one here is the difficulty. Checked against Amazon UK, this product has no current listing we could verify — which is why there is no buy button on it. Marshall sells through its own channels or specialist dealers in this market, and some of the range may simply be discontinued.
