The Aqara Smart Door V100 is not a lock. It is an entire door, made to measure, with the lock, the screen and the camera built into it. That makes it the most unusual entry in this directory, and it is worth understanding what you would actually be buying.
A 15.6-inch touchscreen sits in the door and works as a smart home control panel, waking as you approach and dimming to match the room. Below it, a 1080p camera with a 157-degree lens and infrared night vision covers the landing, with AI human detection running around the clock.
Ways in
Ten routes, including 3D structured-light face recognition that wakes in about a third of a second, fingerprint, passwords, temporary and periodic passwords, an NFC card, remote unlocking from the app, the Apple Home app, Apple Home Key and an emergency mechanical key.
What works in Apple Home
- Tap an iPhone or an Apple Watch on the door to open it with Apple Home Key.
- Lock and unlock the door from the Home app, and see the current state.
- Get a notification on every lock and unlock event.
- Use the door in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.
The screen and the camera run in the Aqara app, not in the Home app.
Before you buy
The V100 is wired to the mains, with a built-in lithium battery holding it up for about a month if the power fails, and a USB-C port for emergency power. The frame is steel, the size and the frame height are made to order, and it can be built to open left, right, inward or outward.
It is sold in mainland China. Buying one means importing a made-to-measure door and fitting it, so treat this as a building project rather than an accessory purchase.
