Aqara Smart Lock U100

The Aqara Smart Lock U100 is a full deadbolt replacement for US-style doors. It carries Apple Home Key, a fingerprint reader, a touchscreen keypad and a mechanical key, so each person in the household can use the method that suits them.

What works in Apple Home

• Lock and unlock the door from the Home app, and see the current state at a glance.
• Tap an iPhone or an Apple Watch on the lock to open it with Apple Home Key.
• Get a notification each time the door locks or unlocks.
• Use the lock in scenes and automations, for example to lock up when the last person leaves.

Siri asks you to authenticate before it unlocks the door. That is how Apple Home treats every lock, and it is not a limitation of this model.

Connectivity

The U100 uses Bluetooth and Zigbee, plus NFC for Home Key. You can add it straight to the Home app without an Aqara hub. To lock or unlock the door while you are away, and to run automations, you need an Apple Home hub: a HomePod or an Apple TV. An Aqara Zigbee hub is optional. It adds features in the Aqara app and support for other ecosystems.

Before you buy

The U100 replaces the whole deadbolt, so measure the backset and the door thickness first. If the batteries run flat, a USB-C port on the outside escutcheon gives emergency power, and a mechanical key is supplied as a last resort.
