Eve Flare – Portable Smart LED Lamp

The Eve Flare is a portable lamp. It runs on an internal rechargeable battery and it is water-resistant to IP65, so it works as a table light indoors, carries out to a terrace for the evening, and survives being left out in the rain.

The globe diffuses light in every direction and doubles as a soft colour source, which is a different job from the directional bulbs and strips that make up most of this category.

What works in Apple Home

• Turn the lamp on and off, and set brightness and colour.
• Group it into rooms and zones alongside the rest of your lighting.
• Use it in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.

Connectivity

Eve builds for Apple Home first, and the Flare needs no bridge or manufacturer hub. Because it is a portable light, it is worth checking the signal in the places you actually intend to use it: the far end of a garden is a harder radio environment than a living room shelf.

Remote access and automations, as with any Apple Home accessory, need a HomePod or an Apple TV in the house.

Before you buy

Battery life is the constraint that decides whether this lamp suits you. Bright colour at full output drains it far faster than a dim warm white, so treat the quoted runtime as a best case and plan on charging it between uses.
