The IMI Heatmiser neoHub is the gateway for Heatmiser’s neo heating system. It links neoStat thermostats and neoPlug sockets to your network and brings the whole heating system into Apple Home.
What it controls
The neo system covers more heating types than most smart thermostats manage: wet and electric underfloor heating, conventional radiator systems, hot water cylinders and towel rails. In a house with a mix of those, that breadth is the reason to choose it.
The current G3 hub handles up to 32 devices over a mesh network, with geo-location, four weeks of history and push alerts.
What works in Apple Home
- Set the target temperature for each zone, and read the current temperature.
- Use each zone in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.
- Switch neoPlug sockets.
Before you buy
Heatmiser neo is a whole system, not a single thermostat. The hub on its own does nothing; you need neoStat thermostats wired into each heating zone. Price the full set before comparing it against a single-thermostat product.
There is more than one generation of hub in circulation. Check that the one you buy is the HomeKit-enabled version.
As with any Apple Home accessory, remote access and automations need a home hub in the house: a HomePod or an Apple TV.
