Level Lock+ (Matter)

The Level Lock+ (Matter) is the version of Level’s invisible lock that adds Apple Home Key. The hardware still hides inside the door, so the outside keeps your existing handle and keys, but you can now tap an iPhone or an Apple Watch on the door to get in.

What works in Apple Home

• Tap to unlock with Apple Home Key, using an iPhone or an Apple Watch.
• Lock and unlock the door from the Home app, and see the current state.
• Get a notification on every lock and unlock event.
• Use the lock in scenes and automations across the rest of your Apple Home.

Siri asks you to authenticate before it unlocks the door. That is how Apple Home treats every lock, and it is not a limitation of this model.

Connectivity

This model supports Matter, so it joins Apple Home without a Level bridge. Remote access and automations still need an Apple Home hub in the house: a HomePod or an Apple TV.

Before you buy

There is still no keypad. Access comes from Home Key, the Level app, a key card or your original mechanical key. If nobody in the household needs a code, that is a clean set of options. If a guest or a cleaner needs a code, look at a keypad lock instead.

The plain Level Lock uses the same invisible design but leaves out Home Key and Matter.
