LIFX Candle

The LIFX Candle is the candle-shaped bulb in the LIFX range. It is the fitting you need for a chandelier, a wall light or a small pendant, where a standard bulb is simply too large and the wrong shape to look right.

What works in Apple Home

• Turn the light on and off, and set brightness, colour and white temperature.
• Group it into rooms and zones alongside the rest of your lighting.
• Use it in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.

Connectivity

LIFX bulbs join your Wi-Fi network directly. There is no bridge to buy, no hub to power and no spare Ethernet port to find, which is the main practical difference between LIFX and bridge-based systems such as Philips Hue. Remote access and automations still need a HomePod or an Apple TV in the house.

Before you buy

Candle bulbs come in more cap sizes than any other shape. Check whether your fitting takes E12, E14 or E27 before you order, because the same LIFX candle is sold with different caps in different markets.

Chandeliers usually hold several bulbs. Smart candles are expensive per bulb, so a six-arm fitting gets costly quickly. One option is to fit smart bulbs to a chandelier only if you actually want colour there, and to use a smart switch for the whole fitting otherwise.
