The Lockin Smart Lock S50M Pro reads finger veins rather than fingerprints. The sensor looks past the surface of the skin at the vein pattern underneath, which is far harder to lift or to copy than a fingerprint, and which does not fail when a fingertip is damp or worn.
What works in Apple Home
- Lock and unlock the door from the Home app, and see the current state.
- Get a notification on every lock and unlock event.
- Use the lock in scenes and automations across the rest of your Apple Home.
Siri asks you to authenticate before it unlocks the door. That is how Apple Home treats every lock, and it is not a limitation of this model.
The peephole screen
The S50M Pro also replaces the door viewer. A wide-angle camera sits on the outside and a four-inch display sits on the inside, so you can see who is at the door without leaning into a peephole. That view lives in the Lockin app and on the door display, not in the Apple Home app.
Before you buy
Camera door locks are thicker than plain ones, and they need the door to be prepared for the viewer aperture. Check the door thickness and the existing peephole diameter first.
Lockin sells mainly in Asia and in Australia, so confirm local availability and the interface language before you order.
