ProSeries 7 inch All-in-One Panel

The ProSeries 7 inch All-in-One Panel is a professionally installed security panel from Resideo, sold under both the Resideo and the Honeywell Home names. A 7-inch colour touchscreen sits on the wall and acts as the keypad, the hub and the automation controller.

Read this before you buy

Apple Home support depends on the exact model, and the naming is a trap.

The PROA7PLUS and PROA7PLUSC support Apple Home. The PROA7 and PROA7C do not. Early Resideo documentation listed the PROA7 as compatible, and that was an error, so a listing or a spec sheet claiming otherwise may simply be repeating it.

Two more conditions apply on the panels that do support it. The panel needs a PROWIFI or PROWIFIZW module fitted and connected to Wi-Fi, and Apple Home is switched off by default. Someone with the installer code has to enable it, either through AlarmNet360 or in panel programming. If you are having this installed, put it in writing to the installer before they leave.

What works in Apple Home

• Arm and disarm the system, and switch between modes.
• Read the connected sensors.
• Use the system in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.

The panel itself

Sensors use SiX and ProSiX two-way wireless with AES-128 encryption. A camera in the panel photographs whoever disarms the system and can send that picture to your phone. It supports four partitions and Z-Wave Plus automation.

Before you buy

This is dealer-installed equipment rather than a DIY kit, and it is normally sold with a monitoring contract. Price the installation and the monitoring alongside the hardware.
