小米全自动智能门锁Pro

Bluetooth

The Xiaomi Automatic Smart Door Lock Pro takes the fully automatic push-pull lock and builds a video doorbell into it. A 1080p camera with a 161-degree lens sits above the keypad, a doorbell button sits below, and a human presence sensor wakes the camera when somebody lingers outside rather than only when they press the button.

That last detail is the useful one. A loiterer who never rings the bell is exactly the visitor you want recorded.

What works in Apple Home

  • Lock and unlock the door from the Home app, and see the current state.
  • Get a notification on every lock and unlock event.
  • Use the lock in scenes and automations, and control it with Siri.

Siri asks you to authenticate before it unlocks the door. That is how Apple Home treats every lock, and it is not a limitation of this model.

The camera and the doorbell live in the Mi Home app, not in the Apple Home app. Treat this as an Apple Home lock that happens to carry a camera.

Ways in

Seven routes: fingerprint, Apple Home, Bluetooth, a keypad password, a temporary password, an NFC card and an emergency mechanical key. It stores 50 fingerprints, 50 passwords and 25 NFC devices, with a quoted fingerprint accuracy of 98.94 per cent.

Power

Two supplies, because there are two jobs. Eight dry cells run the lock for around twelve months. A separate 5000 mAh rechargeable battery runs the camera for three to five months, and you recharge that far more often than you replace the lock cells.

Before you buy

This is a Chinese-market product, set up through Mi Home and then authorised into Apple Home. Check the app language, the Mi account region and the warranty before ordering from an importer. It fits doors 40 mm to 120 mm thick.
